We don't sell camping gear, clothing, or tennis rackets. Just guns, ammo, optics and straight talk — the way it's been since the day we opened.
Four Seasons Firearms is a family owned business here in Woburn, Massachusetts. My wife Susie and I bought the shop in 1994, and from that day on we've been dedicated to providing our customers with quality firearms, ammunition and safety equipment for the local shooting sports community.
What makes us different from other shops is the level of service and treatment we give every single customer who walks through the door. Competitive prices matter — and ours are — but it's the way you're treated at the counter that makes someone a customer for decades. We want everyone who visits to feel safe, relaxed, informed and comfortable, whether you're a lifelong collector or you've never held a firearm before.
And if you're ever not satisfied with the service you received here, call the shop and ask for me directly.
A small crew that's answered a few million questions between them — and one four-legged greeter who runs the place.
Sophie is the latest in a proud line of Four Seasons greeters — following Holly the yellow Lab and Bella the Frenchie before her. When the door buzzer rings, she's on her way. Plenty of regulars ask if she's in before they visit.
A shop that's been family-run for thirty years accumulates more than inventory. These pages stay, because they're part of who we are.
Carl's wife of 34 years and the reason this shop exists — she worked two jobs to get Four Seasons off the ground, then worked the counter on her days off. She loved the guys at the shop, our customers, and the friends she made in this industry.
From the day Carl and Susie bought the store, Holly the yellow Lab "worked" Tuesday through Friday until the very end (Saturdays by appointment only, as the old joke went). When the door buzzer rang, she'd go greet the customer. She's still on our used-guns logo today, right where she belongs — and the Holly Fund raised thousands for local animal shelters in her memory.
Bella was at the shop for almost 14 years. While her personality was a bit different from Sophie's, she was still a big part of Four Seasons — she was in our advertisements and even had her own t-shirt. "She's a great icebreaker," Carl always said: when someone came in with a friend who wasn't so sure about being in a gun shop, Bella would trot out and the whole mood changed.
Bob was at the shop from the very beginning, and came to work every morning ready to fix things — the more challenging the problem, the more he welcomed it. If you ever had a scope mounted, a gun repaired, or learned how to put a Ruger MKIII back together here, there's a 99% chance it was Bob who cheerfully helped you. Never a bad mood, never an ill word — right up until the end.
Four Seasons opened its doors with one idea: a gun shop that specializes only in the shooting sports. Our buying volume lets us price with the big chains, but one visit tells you this isn't a chain — it's the shop where the owner knows your name, the used-gun rack turns over weekly, and nobody ever rushes you.
Today Four Seasons is one of the highest-volume dealers in Massachusetts — and we sell more ammunition than any dealer in the state. Not bad for a small shop behind a green awning.
Tue–Fri 9–6, Sat 9–4. Sophie's usually in, too.
