You Get 80% Of The Selling Price

Turn Safe Queens Into Cash

We sell a lot of firearms for our customers. Leave us your MA-compliant firearm and we'll advertise it online, promote it at the shop, and sell it for you — while you check its status from home, any time, by serial number.

How Our Consignment Program Works

  • Bring your firearm to the shop. We have to see it — we can't price firearms over the phone. We'll tell you what we think it will sell for, but you ultimately control the price.
  • It goes on the live list. Your firearm is advertised on our online used-gun list — the one updated at the register — and promoted right at the counter, where one of the busiest used-gun walls in eastern Massachusetts does the selling.
  • You track it by serial number. Check the sale status of your firearm online any time — no calling to ask "did it sell yet?"
  • You get 80% of the selling price. Our fee is 20% with a $50 minimum per firearm — and that includes all applicable federal and state paperwork for the new buyer (there is a lot of it), plus we absorb the bank fees when a buyer pays by credit card.

Handguns sell well year-round; long guns are more seasonal. If your firearm hasn't sold within 90 days, we'll ask you to reconsider the price or take it back.

Taking a firearm back? Federal law requires a Form 4473 and a NICS background check even on a return-to-owner. We charge a $10 fee to cover those costs.

Sell Outright Or Trade Up

Don't want to wait for consignment? Bring your guns to the counter and we'll make you an offer on the spot — sell outright, or put the value toward something on the wall or in the online store.

Settling An Estate? We'll Treat Your Family Right.

If you've inherited firearms or are settling an estate, don't guess your way through Massachusetts law. Bring us the collection — we'll evaluate every piece, handle the transfers legally, and walk your family through each step with the patience it deserves. We've done this for decades, and we treat it with the care it calls for. If the firearms are being held at a police department, see our police department pickup service.

Straight Answers

Common Questions

How much do I get when my gun sells?

80% of the selling price. Our 20% fee (with a $50 minimum per firearm) covers online listing, in-store promotion, all federal and state paperwork for the buyer, and we even absorb the credit-card fees if the buyer pays by card.

Why can't you give me a price over the phone?

Condition is everything with used firearms — we have to see the gun to value it honestly. Bring it to the counter (unloaded, action open) and we'll tell you what we think it will sell for. You set the final price.

How do I know if my gun has sold?

Check our live online used-gun list any time using your firearm's serial number. The list is updated right at the register whenever something sells.

What happens if it doesn't sell?

If it hasn't sold in 90 days, we'll ask you to reconsider your selling price or take it back. Taking it back involves a $10 fee — federal law requires a Form 4473 and NICS background check even on a return to owner.

Can you sell guns from an estate?

Yes — it's some of the most important work we do. Bring us the collection and we'll evaluate every piece, handle all transfers legally, and walk your family through each step. If a police department is holding the firearms, we can pick them up too.

Do handguns or long guns sell faster?

Handguns sell well year-round. Long guns are more seasonal — but a fairly priced firearm on our list moves.
